With the George Osbourne’s announcement of the Coalition governments spending review, we have seen a total public spending cut of £80 billion, this is going to be the biggest government budget cut since World War 2.

Throughout history artists have made comment on shifts in politics and changes in social conditions. It is important as artists to record and document our responses to the political and social situation around us.

The Art Corner invites artists to submit work on the topic of/making commentary on the recent spending cuts. For the successful applicants this will culminate in an exhibition running from the 16th of December to the 7th of January.
